Long story short, Jesus is asking me to share my heart in the form of a blog which is quite a challenge considering it’s: 1) a step wayyyy out of my comfort zone because hello vulnerability 2) a headache because I am really bad at figuring technology out and 3) quite difficult since I have not had an English class since high school (I may be able to stick an IV in you, but this girl can only write in run-on sentences, oops).
I am really excited however to share my lil’ catholic heart with you all and grow in community, even if it is via the internet. I’m just the kind of person who after spending some time with Jesus through prayer, reflection, and scripture reading just HAAAAS to tell someone about it. And recently, I think Instagram posts are not the best place to pour out what in my mind are nuggets of insight and wisdom, hence the creation of this blog!
All right, I think that’s all I have for now! I’ll end this with something I ran across today during my holy hour that was super convicting (and possibly the answer to my question, Jesus should I start a blog?)
The world promises you comfort, but you were not made for comfort. You were made for greatness. — Pope Benedict XVI
*Disclaimer, not that I think my blog = greatness, but if something makes you step out of your comfort zone AND centers on Jesus? Well, I’d say that’s a step in the right direction.
